Do not allow other people to use your medicine. Ask the pharmacist any questions you may have on how to renew their prescription medicine.

¿What should I discuss with the professional health care before taking Betamethasone?

Tell your doctor and pharmacist if you are allergic to Betamethasone or other medicines. Tell your doctor if you have an infection or ever had diabetes, glaucoma, cataracts, circulation problems or an immune system disorder. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant or if you are breast-feeding. If you become pregnant while using this product, call your doctor immediately.

¿How should I take Valparin?

Betamethasone comes packaged in the form of ointment, cream, lotion and aerosol (spray) at various concentrations for use in the skin. It applies usually between 1 and 4 times a day. Follow instructions carefully on the prescription label and ask your doctor or pharmacist anything you do not understand. Use the medicine exactly as directed. Do not use more or less than the dose specified nor do most often prescribed by your doctor. Do not apply to other areas of your body, not wrap or applied bandages to the affected area unless it has been prescribed by your doctor. Wash or moisten well the affected area before applying the medicine, unless the latter skin irritation. Then apply the ointment or cream restraint in the form of a thin film and gently rub the medicine. To use the solution on the scalp, separate the hair, apply a small amount of medicine in the affected area and frótelo gently. Do not wash or rub the area until the solution is dried. You can wash your hair as usual, but avoid doing so right after applying the medicine. To apply the spray, shake well and spray on the affected area to maintain the container between 3 and 6 inches away. Sprinkle by at least 2 seconds to cover an area the size of your hand. If your doctor tells you to wrap bandages or apply the treated area, follow these instructions:

Dampen good or wash the affected area.

While the skin is wet, gently rub the medicine in the affected areas.

Cover the area with plastic wrap (like Saran Wrap or Handi-Wrap).

The plastic can be kept in place with an elastic bandage or gauze or tape placed near the treated area (instead of using plastic wrap, use plastic gloves for the hands, plastic bags for the feet or a bathing cap for leather scalp).

Seal carefully the edges of the plastic wrap to make sure you are well adhered to the skin. If the affected area is moist, leave open the edges of the wrapper or plastic wrapper drill to allow the excess moisture out.

Leave the wrapper put until the doctor tells you otherwise. In general, wraps apply for no more than 12 hours each day.

Clean the skin and then apply the product every time they put a new plastic wrapping.

¿What happens if I take a dose?

Apply the forgotten dose as soon as you remember, however, whether it is time for the next, skip one that did not apply and continue with the regular dosage. Do not apply a double dose to make up for the forgotten.

¿What happens if I take an overdose?

Look for emergency medical care if you suspect you have used too much of this medicine.

¿What should I avoid while taking Betamethasone?

This medicine may cause drowsiness (give dream). Do not drive car or operate heavy machinery until they know how it will affect this medicine. Alcohol may increase the drowsiness caused by this medicine. Avoid prolonged use on the face, genitals and rectal areas, and in the folds of the skin and armpits, unless it is prescribed by your doctor. Avoid inhaling the spray. If you have to spray the medicine close to the face, cover your eyes.

¿What are the possible side effects of Betamethasone?

Although the side effects of this drug are not common, may actually arise.
